“Collaboration is my first priority in the processes of design, management, and service to clients from concept through execution. Developing architectural designs requires complex problem solving in a multi-disciplinary team environment. As a strategic Project Manager and Designer I guide internal team members and serve as the hub for external partnerships. Through fluent communication with clients, designers, engineers, and contractors I translate aesthetic goals and technical requirements to a common purpose, budget, and schedule. Working internally, I encourage multiple perspectives, diversity of thought, and divergent thinking among team members by engaging in a process of research, exploration, and discovery. Educated with a modernist’s sensitivity to material, detail, craft, and order I discover form resulting from analysis of the design problem rather than style. Organization and rigor are specific methodological strengths throughout my work, from space planning and details to project management and communication.

Travel provides me with inspiration and varied experiences: I worked as a framing carpenter on houses and a boat carpenter in the Caribbean; toured much of Europe; lived both in the Southeast and Northeast United States. After Architecture School at Virginia Tech I began my career in New York City, the past decade in Washington, DC, and recently relocated to Naples, FL. I continue to pursue work of the highest quality and indulge my interests in art, books, culinary adventure, and competitive backgammon.”
